Production task

Cleaning had to protect the hygienic result while reducing time, chemical consumption and interruptions to production.

Installed approach

Anolyte generated on site was dosed into the CIP process. The sequence changed from 5 → 3 cleaning steps.

Results

  • Cleaning cycle 90 → 20 min
  • Up to 75% less cleaning time and downtime
  • Approx. €15,000/year chemical savings
  • Approx. 500,000 kWh/year energy savings

Commercial context

The case study reports payback usually under 36 months. All values belong to this production application and are not a forecast for another plant.

The process

From generator to dosing point, measured throughout

Inlet and water meter, brine tank, the three-chamber generator, anolyte tank, demand-led dosing, measurement and control. Press “Show me the process” to start the animated 3D diagram.

Modelled from the Voigtländer plant schematic of an anolyte system, in the drawing language of the home page. The cards show documented facts only, no invented figures.

Scope of the results

What this project shows and what it cannot promise.

An installation, evaluated within its own operating context.

Shown here

  • Voigtländer water hygiene applied to CIP and process hygiene.
  • Cleaning sequence: 90 → 20 min
  • Cleaning steps: 5 → 3

Not a general guarantee

  • Results and capacities cannot be transferred to another water composition or operating regime without assessment.
  • Design and expected performance for a new site depend on its own water analysis and process conditions.
